“Over time a lot of our visual culture has been thrown away by media outlets that didn’t care about our history. Video Music Box Collection will change that travesty”
- Ralph McDaniels
“Ralph McDaniels was the first to give us an opportunity to express our talent.”
- NAS
The goal of the Video Music Box Collection’s Cultural Preservation Initiative is to properly tag and digitize analog tapes from the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s, this will ensure perpetual access to non-profits, arts, cultural and educational institutions. The collection will be available to the general public for research and historical reference. Public access to culturally relevant content about the evolution of Hip-Hop culture will educate and send a powerful message to future leaders that anything is possible. Cultural preservation in Hip Hop is imperative to our American History. Get involved and #preservetheculture
